That Ikigai Project celebrates the simple joy of handmade ceramics.

Through clay's journey to fired ceramic, there can be countless and often unforeseeable casualties from warping shapes, surprise glaze reactions, stubborn air bubbles, little cracks, and kiln explosions. After miraculously surviving through all the trials, each piece is etched with moments of their journey captured, and imperfections proudly intact — making every creation truly one-of-a kind and unrepeatable.

Always grateful while crafting, each work is a shared piece of happiness. Drop us a message for your own custom ceramic piece.

HOW IT CAME TO BE

The Logo

Ever had a feeling that you were being followed? Casual time checks, license plates, receipts, I saw the numbers 11:11 everywhere. It grew more frequent until I could no longer attribute it to mere coincidence. Led by curiosity, I dove into a fascinating world of angel numbers, numerology, spiritual awakenings, and collective consciousness.

Simply put, the numbers 11:11 always fills me with an overwhelming sense of gratitude, the divine synchronicity serving as reminders that little miracles are always around and every being is connected.

Ceramics is a testament to these shared connections. Clay is born of minerals, organic matter, and rocks from the earth many of which are millions of years old. Potter's kiln temperatures fire clay to form ceramics at temperature ranges as hot as magma that created rocks in the first place! While molding, we also imprint a little of ourselves in every creation. Born from the earth and brought alive by fire, there is a magical charm in every ceramic story.

Every piece is etched with the 11:11 logo celebrating our journey and signing it off on its happily ever after.

MEET THE ARTIST

Shareen Attavar

Dubai is home to me, we moved here when I was two months old. I’ve loved clay ever since I was little, spending more time with play-doh than with my imaginary friends and very real brother. Through the years, I reached out to clay every time I needed a little pick-me-up or a creative release. In my hand clay feels alive, I am mindful and at peace. I respect my humbling teacher who has taught me patience, acceptance, and unconditional appreciation — tough lessons from something that is seemingly fragile.

I often don’t start with a plan, I enjoy just feeling the clay between my hands and let intuition take over. I am inspired by everything around me; fabrics, nature, textures, sets on TV and random objects thinking of ways to recreate it with ceramics.

To me, the expression of art is more important than assigning it with a function. I love to create and would love for you to find joy in my work.
